This page contains the Terms & Conditions for both BukkieGo apps. It is issued by BukkieGo (Pty) Ltd (registration number 2026/598078/07), 05 Le Cateau Road, Delville, Germiston, South Africa. Part A applies to anyone requesting a bakkie or truck through the BukkieGo client app. Part B applies to anyone registering as a driver on the BukkieGo platform. Our Privacy Policy forms part of these terms.
Applies to anyone requesting a bakkie or truck through the BukkieGo client app.
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of the BukkieGo client mobile application and related services (the “Service”), operated by BukkieGo (Pty) Ltd, a company registered in South Africa under registration number 2026/598078/07, with its registered address at 05 Le Cateau Road, Delville, Germiston, South Africa (“BukkieGo”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the Service.
BukkieGo operates a technology platform that connects clients who need a bakkie or truck for a job (“Clients”, “you”) with independent, third-party drivers (“Drivers”) who provide transport and moving services using their own vehicles.
BukkieGo is not a transport, logistics, or removals company, and does not itself own or operate any vehicle. Drivers are independent contractors, not employees or agents of BukkieGo. BukkieGo is not a party to the contract for carriage that forms between you and a Driver when a trip is accepted; it only facilitates the introduction, booking, tracking, and payment for that trip.
When you submit a pickup and destination, the Service estimates a fare and shows it to nearby Drivers. A Driver who accepts your request enters into a direct contract with you to carry out that job. Estimated fares may change if the actual distance, time, load, or number of helpers required differs from what was requested.
You are responsible for describing your load accurately (size, weight, and any special handling needs) so that an appropriately sized vehicle is matched to the job.
You may not request transport of, and Drivers may refuse to carry, any of the following:
BukkieGo and the Driver may refuse or cancel a trip at any time if the load appears to fall into a prohibited category, is unsafe to carry, or was misrepresented at the time of booking.
Fares are calculated based on factors such as distance, vehicle size, time, and demand, and are shown to you before you confirm a booking. Payment is processed through our third-party payment provider, Paystack; BukkieGo does not store your full card details.
A cancellation fee may apply if you cancel a trip after a Driver has accepted it and travelled towards the pickup point, to compensate the Driver for time and fuel. Current cancellation fee amounts and time windows are shown in the app at the time of booking.
Refunds for overcharges, failed trips, or disputed fares are assessed case-by-case; contact support@bukkiego.co.za within 7 days of the trip.
BukkieGo is a booking platform and is not an insurer or carrier of your goods. Responsibility for the safe carriage of goods rests with the Driver providing the trip, subject to any insurance or goods-in-transit cover that Driver holds. You are strongly encouraged to arrange your own insurance for high-value or fragile items before booking a trip.
To the maximum extent permitted by South African law — including the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, where it applies — BukkieGo excludes liability for loss of or damage to goods carried by a Driver, delays, or indirect or consequential loss, except where such liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
After each trip you may rate and review your Driver. BukkieGo may suspend or terminate a Client account that receives repeated substantiated complaints, is used fraudulently, or breaches these Terms.
You agree to indemnify and hold BukkieGo, its directors, employees, and agents harmless from any claim, loss, or damage arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of any law or third-party right.
Our collection and use of your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms and is provided in accordance with the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA).
The BukkieGo name, logo, app, and underlying software are owned by BukkieGo (Pty) Ltd or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works from the Service except as permitted by law.
We may suspend or close your account, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms, engaged in fraud, or put the safety of a Driver or another user at risk. You may close your account at any time by contacting support@bukkiego.co.za.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Where changes are material, we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally may be referred to the courts of South Africa having jurisdiction, without prejudice to any right you have to approach the National Consumer Commission or another applicable regulator.
Questions about these Terms can be sent to info@bukkiego.co.za or +27 79 775 4838, or by post to 05 Le Cateau Road, Delville, Germiston, South Africa.
Applies to anyone registering as a driver on the BukkieGo platform.
This Driver Terms & Conditions agreement (“Agreement”) is between BukkieGo (Pty) Ltd (“BukkieGo”, “we”, “us”) and you (“Driver”, “you”), and governs your use of the BukkieGo driver app and your participation on the BukkieGo platform. By registering as a Driver, you accept this Agreement and our Driver Privacy Policy.
You are an independent contractor, not an employee, worker, partner, or agent of BukkieGo. Nothing in this Agreement creates an employment relationship. You choose when to go online, which trip requests to accept, and how to carry out each job, subject to the safety and conduct standards in this Agreement. You are free to provide services to other platforms or clients.
You are responsible for your own vehicle, fuel, maintenance, licensing, insurance, and taxes, including income tax and, if applicable, VAT registration.
To register and remain active as a Driver you must:
You must upload clear, current copies of your driver’s licence, ID/passport, vehicle registration, and proof of insurance through the app. We (or our administrators) review these documents and may approve, reject, or request re-upload of any document. You must keep uploaded documents current and re-submit before they expire; an expired or rejected document may result in your account being paused until resolved.
When you are online, you will receive trip requests from nearby Clients. You may accept or decline any request. Once accepted, you are responsible for completing the trip safely, professionally, and in line with what was agreed with the Client, including reasonable assistance with loading and unloading where this was part of the booking.
Repeatedly accepting and then cancelling trips, or accepting trips you do not intend to complete, is a breach of this Agreement and may result in suspension.
BukkieGo charges a service commission of 20% on each completed trip fare, deducted before payout. The Client pays the fare through the app via our payment processor, Paystack; you do not need to collect cash unless a trip is explicitly marked as a cash job.
Payouts are made to your registered bank account on a weekly basis, via our automatic weekly payout run. You are responsible for providing accurate banking details; BukkieGo is not liable for payouts sent to incorrect details you supplied.
Fees and commission rates may change with reasonable notice through the app.
You are solely responsible for declaring and paying any income tax, VAT, or other levies arising from amounts earned through BukkieGo. BukkieGo does not withhold PAYE, as you are not an employee. We may issue periodic earnings summaries to help with your own tax filings but do not provide tax advice.
You must maintain your own vehicle insurance. BukkieGo does not provide goods-in-transit insurance on your behalf unless separately and expressly stated in the app. You are responsible for the safe handling and carriage of goods you agree to transport, and for any loss or damage caused by your negligence, subject to applicable law.
BukkieGo’s role is limited to operating the platform that connects you with Clients and processes payment; BukkieGo is not a party to the carriage contract formed between you and the Client.
Clients rate each completed trip. We may review accounts with a low average rating, high cancellation rate, or substantiated complaints, and may issue a warning, temporarily suspend, or permanently deactivate a Driver account where standards are not met, or where required for the safety of Clients or the public. Where practical, we will explain the reason and give you an opportunity to respond before permanent deactivation.
You agree to indemnify BukkieGo against any claim, loss, fine, or damage arising from your breach of this Agreement, your negligence, or your violation of any law while providing services through the platform.
Our collection and use of your personal information, including identity documents and location data while online, is described in the Driver Privacy Policy, provided in accordance with POPIA.
Either party may end this Agreement at any time; you may deactivate your Driver account through the app or by contacting support@bukkiego.co.za. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately for safety concerns, fraud, expired documentation, or material breach of this Agreement. Outstanding payouts for completed trips will be settled in line with the normal payout schedule.
We may update this Agreement from time to time. Material changes will be notified in the app before they take effect; continuing to accept trips after that date means you accept the updated Agreement.
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Disputes that cannot be resolved informally may be referred to the courts of South Africa having jurisdiction.
Questions about this Agreement can be sent to info@bukkiego.co.za or +27 79 775 4838, or by post to 05 Le Cateau Road, Delville, Germiston, South Africa.
